Diabetes Victoria Run Melbourne fundraiser competition Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter is Diabetes Victoria (ABN 71 005 239 510) whose registered office is at 570 Elizabeth St, Melbourne VIC 3000.
2. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entries must comply with these terms and conditions to be valid.
3. Entry is open to Australian residents only, who are 16 years and over at the time of entry. Anyone connected in any way with helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to win the competition prizes, including employees of Diabetes Victoria or their family members.
4. In order for their entry to be valid, entrants must both:
a. be registered to participate in Run Melbourne 2022.
b. have created an online fundraising page via the Diabetes Victoria Giving Hub website for Run Melbourne 2022 and raised $2 or more for Diabetes Victoria by 11.59pm on Wednesday 27 July 2022.
5. The competition begins at 8am Wednesday 25 May 2022 and closes for entry at 11.59pm on Wednesday 27 July 2022. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
6. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.
7. The rules of the competition and the prizes for the winners are as follows:
• By participating in Run Melbourne on Sunday 24 July 2022 and raising money for Diabetes Victoria, you have entered the event competition to win:
- One (1) Rebel Sport voucher valued at $200, or
- One (1) fitbit alta HR
• Competition entries will not be accepted by any other means.
• Only one (1) prize will be awarded per individual.
• Diabetes Victoria holds no responsibility to compensate the competition winner(s) if the Event, Run Melbourne 2022, is cancelled, or amended in any way that lessens the value of the prize.
8. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a prize recipient receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that prize recipient.
9. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as reasonably possible by the Promoter.
10. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
11. The winners will be chosen at random from a draw by a staff member appointed by Diabetes Victoria on Friday 29 July 2022 at 11.00am.
12. The winner will be contacted on Friday 29 July 2022 via phone.
13. The winner must claim their prize by Friday 5 August 2022.
14. Individuals can opt-out from entering into the competition by notifying the Promoter that they do not want to be included within the draw for the prize(s) for the Run Melbourne 2022 event.
15. Diabetes Victoria shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner, or anyone else availing from the prize, as a result of the winner accepting and/or using the prize.
16. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. The winner agrees to the use of their name for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for Diabetes Victoria promotional purposes. Any other personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation.
18. The information provided will be used in conjunction with our Privacy Policy found at http://www.diabetesvic.org.au/privacy-policy.
19. The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
